Mini Excursion on Retail Operations

As part of their practical learning experience, our Year 8 & 9 learners embarked on a mini excursion to ShopRite, where they explored key aspects of retail operations, financial transactions, and customer service.

The mini-excursion provided an opportunity for learners to observe real-world applications of mathematics, commerce, and social interactions in a business environment.

Guided by their educators, the learners engaged in price comparisons, budgeting exercises, and discussions on inventory management.

They also gained insights into the importance of teamwork, organization, and ethical business practices.

This hands-on experience reinforced classroom knowledge and encouraged critical thinking about consumer behavior and financial literacy.

The excursion was both educational and engaging, leaving the learners with valuable lessons on the role of supermarkets in the economy and everyday life.
