From Lagos To China: CCA takes Education to Another Level

Covenant Child Academy (CCA) is taking its commitment to educational excellence beyond the shores of Nigeria as members of the CCA team embark on an impactful educational journey in China from September 12–26, 2026.

As part of CCA’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and professional development, the team is participating in the China Educational Study Tour 2026, an international learning experience designed to expose educators to global educational practices, innovative approaches and new perspectives on teaching and learning.

A JOURNEY OF LEARNING AND DISCOVERY

A key highlight of the tour is the team’s participation in specialised training at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, where CCA educators are engaging with other education professionals in a programme focused on Age-Appropriate 21st Century Teaching & Learning.

The training explores innovative approaches to education, global best practices and emerging ideas that can enhance the way educators teach and the way learners engage with knowledge.

For CCA, this experience goes beyond professional training. It is an opportunity to learn, observe, exchange ideas and gain valuable insights from educational practices in an international setting.

PART OF CCA’S WHOLE SCHOOL EVALUATION

The China Educational Study Tour forms part of Covenant Child Academy’s broader Whole School Evaluation process.

At CCA, school improvement is viewed as an ongoing journey. The evaluation process provides an opportunity to reflect on existing practices, identify areas for growth and explore new ways of strengthening the educational experience across the school.

Taking this process beyond Nigeria allows the CCA team to gain fresh perspectives and engage with educational ideas from a different cultural and institutional context.

Education is constantly evolving, and educators must continue to learn in order to respond effectively to the changing needs of learners.

Through the China study tour, CCA educators are gaining exposure to new approaches and international perspectives that can contribute to the continuous development of teaching and learning within the school.
