Admission Guidelines

The goal of Covenant Child Academy's Montessori Pre-School is to create a conducive environment for students to learn about God, themselves and their surroundings, while acquiring vital foundational skills and knowledge for a continual life of learning, exploration, investigation, experimentation and discovery. Our mission at Covenant Child is to lay a solid foundation for our pupils on which the rest of life is built. Time is a priceless commodity. It is our desire to assist parents in using this year to its greatest extent!

Our admission process is as follows:

  • Pick up a Registration Form at the school office. (N5,000 Non-Refundable)
  • Return completed form with:
    • A. 2 Passport Photographs
      B. Photocopy of Birth Certificate
      C. Family photo
      D. Immunization record
  • For online applications please email us with attached completed form and proof of payment for application form which will be received by our School Registrar.
  • An assessment date is scheduled with a formal meeting: This is communicated via phone call, email or text message.
  • Informal assessment is done for preschoolers followed by a formal meeting.
  • A formal meeting with the Head of School or Deputy Head of School, for both the candidate and their parents.
  • Successful candidates will be given an admission offer letter and notified via SMS, phone calls or Email


  • To be admitted into Year 7, a child must be not be less than ten years old as at the time of entry. The age criterion into other classes would be pro rata. Admission form must be obtained and duly filled by the parent/guardian of a prospective candidate. This must be returned prior to any of the scheduled interview dates. Every eligible candidate must do a written interview. The different dates scheduled for this are usually announced in the local and international journals and newspapers and in our various correspondences. Following the success in the written interview, every candidate is invited for an oral interview. Prospective applicants overseas can obtain their forms online and we will we arrange the interviews at a designated place near them wherever they are.

  • Transcript and original or Photocopies of past school result should be brought on arrival of your child
  • An assessment date is scheduled with a formal meeting: This is communicated via phone call, email or text message.
  • Tests for Numeracy, Handwriting, Spoken English and Literacy is done for pupils going into the Primary level.
  • A formal meeting with the Head of School or Deputy Head of School, for both the candidate and their parents.
  • Successful candidates will be given an admission offer letter and notified via SMS, phone calls or Email


  • Our admission process for College Students is as follows:

  • Pick up a Registration Form at the school office. (N15,000 Non-Refundable)
  • Return completed form with:
    • A. 2 Passport Photographs
      B. Photocopy of Birth Certificate
      C. Family photo
      D. Immunization record
  • For online applications please email us with attached completed form and proof of payment for application form which will be received by our School Registrar.


  • For external candidates, entry into Year 7 is based on:
    • 1. Entrance examination – competitive selective examination in mathematics, English, Science, verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
      2. A report from their Primary school with transcripts and past results.
      3. A formal meeting with the Head of School and Director for both the candidate and their parents.
  • Entry into other year levels is always welcome and based on:
    • 1. Selective and competitive test of Mathematics and English.
      2. A report from your current school with transcripts and school results.
      3. A formal meeting with the Head of School and Director, for the candidate and their parents.
      4. Successful candidates will be given an admission offer letter and notified to pick admission letter via SMS, phone calls or Email.
      3. The Acceptance fee is to be paid within the stated date as in the offer letter.

    MIDSTREAM ADMISSION

    Applicants from other schools during the academic year will gain admission based on availability of space in the required class and ability to provide previous school transcripts and results. An assessment test will be carried out and applicants that reach average performance will gain admission on the basis of an intervention programme which will be at the consent of their parents. It is compulsory that upon admission, parents complete the medical form or provide us with the medical history of your child.
